This video made me cry. I have a dog I fostered from the shelter, whom I picked up one day before he was to be euthanized. I believe he is a podengo pequeno. He came from an abusive puppy mill and a rescue asked me to foster him because he was so traumatized he passed out just from someone trying to pet him. It took a long time, about two years, to even get him to go outside. He was so fearful like Paulo was, and I didn't know what to do, and I fostered "unadoptable" "behavior" dogs (who all eventually got adopted, including my foster fail). I just gave him space and made sure he felt safe, and engaged when he wanted to engage. Now he is the king of my mom's pool and likes to wear clothes and go out so that everyone can tell him he's handsome. I'm so glad you were able to help Paulo, and it's such a beautiful thing to see a fearful dog come out of their shell and blossom into their true selves. Just a lovely video. I know it's been some years now, but this was really touching and so close to my heart.

Border collies are such great dogs. They need mental stimulation everyday to prevent bad behaviors from ever happening in the first place. Physical activity is of course important too, but you cannot let these dogs get bored, and if you have a border Collie and you are bored, get to the vet asap.

Would you mind providing the fanatic breeder info of Bentley who obviously bred him with great pedigree as his body type proportions , facial structure with muzzle and also even his neck length are all components of the healthier type of French Bulldog who lives longer on average. Too many breeders do the opposite with their pedigree leading to a whole host of future mobility and breathing problems for the dog later on. I myself have a Frenchie very much like Bentley and am looking to get him a buddy to live just as long as he does. Cheers .

Thank you for showing what positive reinforcement training can do! And thank you for showing this big friendly giant and explaining his overwxhuberance as a wishvto play. I have a similar fog with a similar behavioral challenge. I am going to re-up the rewards for focus on me throighout the walks (rather than focus on the dog who *does not* want to play with him passing by across the street. 😉🤣)

The Guide elaborates on the techniques used on the show. The examples given in the ruclips.net/user/postUgkxECnmSvBSv_NGWx4_ChD73pF3NYZwI2F3 are helpful and some of the techniques suggested very useful. One such technique/tool suggested was the lure stick to encourage a small dog to keep up with the heel command. I have a small dog who lags behind smelling any and everything and find it hard to keep bending over while walking to his level. The lure stick is great also for another dogs focus and sprinting at anything that catches her eye. The stories about different dogs, their different temperaments, have been helpful, especially Lulu's: After reading about Lulu's challenges I felt relief concerning one of my rescues that I have had for 10 years. Over many years I have checked out many training books from the library, watched different shows, DVDS, bought training books, taken lessons and this book is the best by far! Kindness, patience and perseverance works.

I have that same problem. After my husband played tug of war with my cane corso puppy she now wants to use my arm since I am her handler. She gets overly excited and has bite down hard and growls. Now she jumps and tries to tug at my clothes. 😢

I bought two German Shephard puppies from different breeders. Both female. I`ve had them over a week and I give them the same attention but, they keep fighting that sometimes I can`t pull them apart and I get hurt trying to break up the fight. How do I fix this? I really don`t want to get rid of one of them.

My boy trouble (Yes, his name is really Trouble and fits him perfect 🤣) is one of the most mouthy dogs i've had and nothing was working until i started him on some bite work which seems to be working, for me at least. Guests are still viewed as chewy toys by him though. Lol He's just turned 5 month old the 15th of November and still very much a puppy even though he's almost 50 pounds and built like a tank. None of the biting is human aggression, fear or dominance related. He never bites hard at all and will submit quick when he's getting a little to hyper. It's almost like he just cannot help himself cause that mouth is always at work tearing up whatever he can which has been pretty much whatever he wants he destroys it. When i feed he'll eat all his food then most of his food bowl for desert if i ain't paying attention. Lol
